FlyRight Training Center Receives FAA 142 Certification

Simulator-based training center offers Kingair 200 Pilot Training
FlyRight Inc. received FAA certification today as the country’s newest 142 Flight Training Center. The FAA’s approval of FlyRight’s training programs at the highest level of accreditation comes after 3 years of intensive program development. FlyRight’s 142 Training Center certification enables the company to offer initial, ATP, and recurrent training programs entirely in-house, using its Kingair B200 and Raytheon 1900D Level-C full motion simulators.
Jim Crawford, Director of Operations for FlyRight, complimented the FAA process saying “FAA involvement in our program development has resulted in raising the bar to the higher level of operational and training effectiveness. All of our customized courseware, including curriculums, Pilot Training Manual, Quick Reference Handbook, and animated PowerPoints, were scrutinized by the local Flight Standards District Office. Their feedback enabled us to hone the program, building on all the experience of our staff and the FAA, to create a world-class training experience.”

CERTAIN U.S. PILOTS NEED NEW 'ENGLISH PROFICIENT' CERTIFICATE

CERTAIN U.S. PILOTS NEED NEW 'ENGLISH PROFICIENT' CERTIFICATE
Do you fly internationally? If so, you'll need a new pilot certificate with the words "English Proficient" on it. The new certificate will be required for international flights starting March 5, when the International Civil Aviation Organization's language proficiency standards for operating internationally go into effect. The requirement applies to airplane and helicopter private, commercial, and airline transport pilots; flight engineers; and flight navigators. Pilots with a U.S.-issued certificate will not need to pass a language test, just request a replacement certificate from the FAA. The plastic replacement certificate will cost $2 and take seven to 10 days to be processed. All newly issued pilot certificates will have the endorsement.
